VTI-TEBBAP stands for Vallacar Transit Incorporated - Transport Engineering and Bus Body Assembly Plant, a coach building division of Yanson Group of Bus Companies. They serve as the maintenance provider and coachbuilder for Yanson's buses.[1]
Their plant facilities are located at Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.[2]
History
The company was founded in 1968 by Ricardo B. Yanson and his wife, Olivia Villaflores Yanson,[3] beginning with the purchase of one jeepney unit. This effort ultimately became a jeepney-assembly business. In the early 1970s, the market was flooded with Ford Fieras; the couple decided to diversify into a small bus line which plied the Bacolod City-Valladolid-La Carlota route (hence, ValLaCar) and christened it as Ceres Liner, named after Ricardo's youngest sister.[4]
Chassis
VTI-TEBBAP imports chassis from Hino and King Long. Most of those are from their old units that needs to be re-body and repair at their General Reconditioning Division (GRD).[1]
Currently, they have Yanson ViKing, Yanson Legacy, Yanson Crius, Yanson FB4J, Yanson Contessa, and Yanson M9 in production. All undergone with several developments and changes since their first stage back in year 2009.
Models
Most of their buses are made from Hino chassis, while some are reconditioned units from their current fleets in 2016.
