Slayden, Mississippi
Slayden is an unincorporated community located in Marshall County, Mississippi. It is located along U.S. Route 72 on the northeast side of Marshall County. Although Slayden is unincorporated, it shares a ZIP code of 38642 with Lamar.[1] Slayden is home to four businesses: One gas station, another with a travel center, a popular local restaurant, and a used car lot located in front of the old cotton gin. Adjacent to Slayden are the towns of Mount Pleasant to the west, Lamar to the southeast, Holly Springs to the south, and Moscow, Tennessee to the north. Slayden has experienced growth since 2005 when a new neighborhood was opened with 5-acre (20,000 m2) lots for sale.
