"Sim Ou Não" is a song by Brazilian singer Anitta featuring Colombian singer Maluma. It was released on July 28, 2016 by Warner Music.[1] It was composed by Anitta herself, along with Umberto Tavares and Jefferson Junior, besides the parts in Spanish being composed by the singer Maluma.[2] The song was written by Anitta, Maluma, Umberto Tavares and Jefferson Junior. It was produced by Anitta and Umberto Tavares.

"Sim Ou Não" is an urban pop and reggaeton song. Lyrically, the song talks about a desire between two people in different environments. The music video for the song was recorded on July 4, 2016 in Mexico City, and was directed by Jessy Terrero.

The music video of the song was recorded on July 4, 2016 in a nightclub in Mexico City, and was directed by the Dominican director Jessy Terrero, who has worked with artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Anahí, Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez.[3][4]

Live performances

The first performance of the song took place on the Calderão do Huck program on August 6, 2016.[5] Anitta performed the song in the Encontro com Fátima Bernardes program on August 17. She also sang on August 23 on her show, Música Boa Ao Vivo, at Multishow. She performed the song on the Programa da Sabrina on August 27 and the next day she sang in Hora do Faro, both programs on Rede Record.[6] On November 9, she performed the song on the stage of X Factor Brasil. All these presentations happened without the presence of the singer Maluma.[7]

Reception

Commercial performance

In Brazil, the song debuted first on iTunes, already in Mexico. It entered at 200º, then reaching the 60º position.[8]
