Rushs Ridge, Missouri

Rushs Ridge is an extinct town in Mississippi County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The GNIS classifies it as a populated place.^[1]

History

A post office called Rush Ridge was established in 1858, and remained in operation until 1861.^[2] The community has the name of William Rush, a first settler.^[3] Rush Ridge once had a church^[4] and schoolhouse.^[5] A cemetery marks the site.^[6]
