Petersburg, Gordon County, Georgia
"Oakman" is an unincorporated community in Gordon County, in the U.S. state of Georgia.[1]
History
A post office called Petersburg was established in 1886, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1908.[2] Petersburg was named in honor of a Dutch pioneer, according to local history.[3]
