Miss Panamá 2015

Miss Panamá 2015 the 48th Miss Panamá pageant selected to the Miss Universe & Miss World. The pageant has been split into two contests this year Miss Panamá Mundo and Miss Panamá Universo. This is the fifth edition of the pageant under the management of Marisela Moreno ^[1] former Miss World Panama, the OMP (Miss Panamá Organization) and broadcast on Telemetro. 30 preliminay contestants have been selected from all over Panama and competed for the prestigious crown. Miss Panamá 2014 Yomatzy Maurineth Hazlewood De La Rosa crown her successor Gladys Del Carmen Brandao Amaya at the end of the event.

This year there was a new change after five years was continued the final competition entitled "Miss Panamá World" was announced the winner of the Miss Panamá Mundo title. Nicole Pinto Miss Panamá World 2014 crown her successor Diana Doris Jaén Ortega at the end of the event. The winner cannot participate in the competition for Miss Panama Universe.

Gladys Brandao Miss Panama 2015 will compete in Miss Universe 2015. Diana Jaén Miss Panamá World will represent Panama in Miss World pageant to be held on 19 December 2015 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China PR.

Miss Panamá Universe

The Miss Panamá was held at the Hard Rock Cafe Megapolis Panamá, Ciudad de Panamá, Panama, the Monday 24, 2015. About 24 contestants from all over the country will compete for the prestigious crown. Miss Panamá 2014, Yomatzy Maurineth Hazlewood De La Rosa crowned her successor at the end of the event as the new Miss Panamá.

National Costume Competition

This year the contestant, was celebrated in the preliminary competition. It is a competition showing the country's wealth embodied in the colorful and fascinating costumes made by Panamenian designers combining the past and present of Panama. The winner costume represent Panamá in Miss World 2015.

Preliminary Interview

Held on Sunday August 23, to Miss Panamá candidates were qualified in swimsuit and personal interview.

Miss Panamá World

The Miss Panamá Mundo pageant was held at the Hotel Hard Rock Cafe Megapolis, Ciudad de Panamá, Panama, on August 24, 2015. About 24 contestants from all over Panamá will compete for the prestigious title. This year by decision of the international Miss World Organization, the election of the new global sovereign will be held in a separate competition to the traditional national election. Nicole Pinto Miss Panamá World 2014 crowned to Diana Jaén as her successor as the new Miss Panamá World.

Presentation Show

This Preliminary Competition also called The Runway and the Council of the Misses the event will be held on 3 August 2015, is the night when the twenty four finalists were selected from Miss Panama 2015. A jury panel, together with the advice of the misses, selected the finalists based on the outputs of the girls during the event in the Swimsuit and cocktail dress categories.

Historical significance

• Different regions and provinces were used this year, changing the naming format used previously.
• Los Santos won Miss Panamá for eight time in history, last time with Diana Broce (2009)
• Veraguas won Reinado Internacional del Cafe Panamá for second consecutive year.
• Panama Centro failed to place in the final round for second consecutive year.
• Darien place for second consecutive year in the top 6.
• Bocas del Toro place again in the final top after three year, last time with Maricely González (2012)
• Colón place again in the final top after two year, last time with Zumay Elena Antonios (2013)
• States that placed in the top 6 the previous year were Veraguas, Los Santos, Darien, Herrera.
