Marneen Fields (also known as Marneen Lynne Fields and Marneen L. Fields) is a multi-talented SAG actress, pop singer, ASCAP composer, director, editor, cinematographer, executive producer, and former stuntwoman.[1]

She has appeared in over 100 movies and TV episodes as an actress, stunt woman, or both.[2] She has been noted as one of the prominent stuntwomen of the 1970s.[3]

Due to her performance as Curry in Hellhole, as well as her acting roles in other films and TV series episodes, she is said to be the first stunt woman to be cast in a significant role as an actress.[4] Her turn from stuntwoman to actress was also noted in a 1988 Star magazine article about Fields, with the subheading, "Shapely stunt gal is now an actress."[5]

Early Life

Marneen Lynne Fields was born in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Robert Leo Fields II and Ruby Marie Farris.[1]

Film and Television Career

Marneen Fields was discovered by stunt man Paul Stader in 1976, who began her stunt training.[6] Later in 1976, she was cast as one of the school girls in the movie The Spell (1977).[7]

In the TV series Wonder Woman, Fields got beaten up by Wonder Woman (Lynda Carter) herself.[8]

In addition, Fields stunt doubled for Jane Seymour and Maren Jensen in the original TV series of Battlestar Galactica.[9] She also stunt doubled for Pamela Sue Martin in The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries TV show.

Some of the TV series that Fields guest-starred in were Scarecrow and Mrs. King, The A-Team, The Fall Guy, The New Mike Hammer, Dynasty, and Matlock.[5]

Music Career

Fields sang the title song for the 2013 documentary, We Can Take Some of the Hurt Away,[10] which is about poverty and education among children in Indonesia.

Personal Life

In March 2016, Fields married author and freelance writer John P. Harrison.[1]
