History
The original lighthouse was first constructed in 1897 with a tower made out of iron, it was 13 meters high with an attached section in the viewing part.[2]
A new lighthouse was constructed in 1941, today they are in ruins, it consisted a white cylindrical tower made out of parallelepipedic volume of 4x4 meters, both done by masonry, its height was 11 meters.[2] It was built using a patented "MURUS material system" by author of the engineer of the Portuguese inventor Raul Pires Ferreira Chaves.[3]
