Akebäck is a settlement on the Swedish island of Gotland. Formerly a socken,[3] on 1 January 2016, it was reconstituted into the administrative area Akebäck District.[4]
Geography
Akebäck is situated in the central part of Gotland.[5] It is the smallest of the Gotland sockens.[6] The medieval Akebäck Church is located in the socken.[7]
One of the asteroids in the asteroid belt, 11533 Akebäck, is named after this place.[8]
