The 2009 Skate Canada International was held at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex in Kitchener, Ontario on November 19–22, 2009. Organized by Skate Canada, it was the final event of six in the 2009–10 Grand Prix, an international series of senior-level invitational competitions. Medals were awarded in four disciplines – men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing. Skaters also earned points towards qualifying for the Grand Prix Final.
The compulsory dance was the Tango Romantica.

In pairs event, Aliona Savchenko / Robin Szolkowy set a new world record of 206.71 points under the ISU Judging System for pairs combined total score.[1]
