In 1982 Inter Milan added a Coppa Italia in his palmarès, the third after 1939 and 1978 ones. Inter won trophy against Torino, drawing 1-1 in Turin after 1-0 success in Milan: Alessandro Altobelli resulted topscorer, marking nine goals.
Fifth placed in domestic league, Inter reached quarter-finals in UEFA Cup. This was last Eugenio Bersellini's season on Inter Milan bench.
