"You Got the Floor" was a jazz-funk dance single by American guitarist and singer Arthur Adams. It entered the UK Singles Chart on 24 October 1981, reaching a peak position of number 38 and remaining on the chart for five weeks. In addition to its singles chart success, it also reached number 1 in the UK's disco chart the same year. He was also a regular studio session player in Los Angeles from the late 1960s to the early 1980s and has played a variety of music over the years and is now a top blues performer in LA.
The record originally appeared on the small US label Inculcation owned by actor Bernie Hamilton, who produced the track.
