Wema Sepetu

Wema Sepetu (born 28 September 1988) is a Tanzanian beauty contestant who won the Miss Tanzania contest in 2006 Miss Tanzania. She represented Tanzania in Miss World 2006, which was held in Poland. She later became an actress.

Early life and Education

She hails from a Diplomat Family of Late Abraham Sepetu,she is last child in a family of four children. She obtained her primary, secondary, and high level education at Academy International School in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, and she later joined Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Malaysia to persue International business course which she did for a one year and then she dropped out to continue with acting.

Acting Career

After her stint at beauty contests, Wema ventured into Tanzanian films as an actress and has since gained a lot of popularity in her country. It was the Late Steven Kanumba who first introduced her to the film industry at the time they were dating . Her path in acting began in 2007 in her first movie, A Point of no Return which she was a main character alongside Steven Kanumba.She later appeared in Family Tears ,Red Valentine and White Maria to mention few.

Miss World 2006

After winning the title of Miss Tanzania in 2006, Wema traveled to Warsaw, Poland to compete in the Miss World 2006 however she failed to enter the top 17 semifinalists.^[1]
