Vichitra Bandham (English: Strange Relation) is a 1972 Telugu, drama film, produced by D. Madhusudhana Rao on Annapurna Pictures banner[2] and directed by Adurthi Subba Rao.[3] Starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Vanisri in the lead roles and music composed by K. V. Mahadevan.[4] The film was based on the Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani Vijetha novel.
Plot
Madhav (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) & Sandhya (Vanisri) are college mates. Sandhya is a daughter of a rich man Aadi Narayana Rao (S. V. Ranga Rao) who has a lot of proud & arrogance. Once Madhav insults Sandhya before everyone in the college and to take revenge she fools Madhav with her act of love and in his rage of anger, Madhav kidnaps & molests her, as a result, Sandhya becomes pregnant. Sandhya's family is affected by this incident and her father commits suicide, her brother becomes crippled and loss of entire wealth. She goes to reside in an ancient property in the village. Due to guilty Madhav leaves to foreign at that time Sandhya gives birth to a baby boy and keeps the child in an orphanage. After few years Madhav returns from foreign and he accidentally meets Sandhya in the village and comes to know regarding entire the story. Rest of the story is what strange attachments develop and how the lives change.
