Ved Prakash Sharma

Short Bio

Ved Prakash Sharma is a novelist/writer born on 10th June, 1955 in Meerut city of Uttar Pradesh, India. He completed his graduation from NAS Degree College, Meerut. Ved Prakash Sharma who has written many novels, started his professional career as a ghost writer. After writing about 23 novels as a ghost writer, he finally managed to get the credit as a writer for the novel “Dahekte Shaher” in the year 1973.

Ved got married to Madhu in 1975.

Awards and Accolades

Ved Prakash Sharma has received “Meerut Ratna” award twice (1992 and 1994). He has received various state level awards including “Natraj Bhushan Award” in 2008, “Natraj Award” in 1995.

Ved's novel Bahu Maange Insaaf was turned into a Bollywood movie in 1985

Bollywood movie Anaam was made on the story based on Ved Prakash Sharma's novel.

Bollywood movie Sabse Bada Khiladi was made on the script based on Ved's novel "Lallu"[1]

Ved has written screenplay for Bollywood movie International Khiladi which was released in the year 1999.

A television series "Keshav Pandit" was made on his imaginary character Keshav Pandit which was aired on Zee TV in 2010. He developed "Keshav Pandit" character over the time and has written various novels under this series.
