Vācaspati

Vachaspati (vāchaspati "lord of Vāc (speech)") is a Rigvedic deity presiding over human life. The name is applied especially to Brhaspati, the lord of eloquence, but also to Soma, Vishvakarman and Prajapati.

Other uses

Vachaspati is also term for an orator in the Bhagavata Purana, and the name of a rishi, a lexicographer, a philosopher, and others.
Vachaspati is also the name of a poet, prasasti (panegyric) to Bhavadeva Bhatta. He is also called Vachaspati Kavi (poet Vachaspati) to distinguish him from the Sanskrit scholar Vachaspati Misra.
