Uragh Wood (Irish: Tearmann Dúlra Choill na hIúraí) is an oak wood in Tuosist, County Kerry, Ireland, which was designated a nature reserve in 1982. The wood covers about 80 ha and is next to Gleninchaquin Lake.[1] It is owned by the state and there is no public access.[2]
Since Ireland's adoption of the European Union's Habitats Directive, the wood has been included within a Special Area of Conservation of 1,154 ha called "Cloonee and Inchiquin Loughs, Uragh Wood". Several species living in the wood, including the Kerry Slug, are listed in the Habitats Directive (annexes II and IV).[3]
