Twilight Force is a Swedish power metal band formed in 2011. The band's main lyrical themes are based on fantasy stories. Their first studio album, Tales of Ancient Prophecies, was released in 2014 by Black Lodge Records.[1] The band members want to keep their real names in privacy, so they use nicknames.
History
The band was formed in 2011 by Lynd and Blackwald. After Chrileon, Aerendir, Born and De'Azsh joined the band they started with their debut album recording. Their debut, Tales of Ancient Prophecies was released in 2014 through Black Lodge Records. This album hit 29th position in Swedish charts.[2] In December 2014 Twilight Force joined Gloryhammer on their European tour. In spring 2015, they were appearancing with two another power metal bands, Sonata Arctica and Freedom Call.[3]
In February 2016 the band announced they signed a deal with Nuclear Blast Records.[4] On 26 August they released their label´s debut called Heroes of Mighty Magic with Joakim Brodén and Fabio Lione as guests.[5][6] They also played on Sabaton Open Air 2016, where they recorded the whole show for a live DVD. In autumn 2016 Twilight Force joined Sonata Arctica on their European tour and early in 2017 they are playing with Sabaton and Accept on The Last Tour.[5][7]
