History

On April 12, 2012, Toshiba TEC acquired IBM’s Retail Store Solutions (RSS) business, which offered retail point-of-sale solutions worldwide. The acquisition was completed in August 2012 and formed Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions.[2][3] Toshiba Global Commerce Solution continued to operate IBM Retail Store Solutions’ business worldwide as Toshiba TEC’s core retail point-of-sale solution affiliates.
