Torf le Riche

Torf le Riche was an Norman baron.

He was a great Norman feudal baron, born about A.D. 920, is the earliest historical progenitor of the Newburgh & Newberry family from whom a certain and unbroken line has been traced. Torf possessed numerous lordships in Normandy, being Seigneur de Torville, Torcy, Torny, Torly, de Ponteautorf, etc. He married about 950 to Ertemberge de Briquebec. His children included:

I. Turold de Pont-Audemer, Sire de Ponteaudemer, b. about 950.

II. Turchetil, Seigneur de Turqueville.

III. William de Torville
