Tirukkaanoor Semmeninathar Temple
Tirukkaanoor Semmeninathar Temple is a Hindu temple located at Thirukanur in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu, India. The historical name of the place is Tirukanurpatti. The place is also called as Manalmedu. [1] The presiding deity is Shiva. He is called as Semmeninathar. His consort is known as Sivayoganayaki.
Significance
It is one of the shrines of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams - Shiva Sthalams glorified in the early medieval Tevaram poems by Tamil Saivite Nayanars Tirugnanasambandar and Tirunavukkarasar.
