- 10 August 1973 - Gerard McGlynn (18) and Seamus Harvey (22) PIRA. Killed in a premature bomb explosion about 200 yards from the customs post at Kilclean, on the Donegal border [1]
1976
- 17 July 1976 - Peter McElchar (24) and Patrick Cannon (20), both Catholic members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army, were killed in a premature bomb explosion while travelling in a car.
1978
- 4 July 1978 - Jacob Rankin (32) RUC Officer. Shot outside Castlederg Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) base
1984
- 14 July 1984 - Norman McKinley (32) and Heather Kerrigan (20), both Protestant members of the Ulster Defence Regiment, were killed in a Provisional Irish Republican Army land mine attack on their foot patrol, near Castlederg.
- 2 January 1984 - Robert Elliott killed (25) Member of the Ulster Defence Regiment. Shot outside his home, Lislaird Road, Castlederg, County Tyrone.
- 2 March 1984 - Thomas Loughlin (40) Member of the Ulster Defence Regiment. Killed by booby trap bomb, attached to his van, outside his home.
1986
- 15 January 1986 - Victor Foster (18), killed by booby trap bomb attached to his car outside his home, Gamble Park, Castlederg shortly after joining the Ulster Defence Regiment
- 8 April 1986 - William Pollock (27) Member of the Ulster Defence Regiment. Killed by booby trap bomb attached to trailer at his farm, nearCastlederg

- 4 June 1988 - Michael Darcy (28) Member of the Ulster Defence Regiment. Shot outside his home, Killeter Road, Castlederg
- 21 November 1988 - William Monteith (59) RUC Officer. Shot while at security barrier, The Diamond, Castlederg
1990
- 9 January 1990 - Olven Kilpatrick (36) Member of the Ulster Defence Regiment. Shot at his shop, Main Street, Castlederg.
