The Perfect World Foundation

The Perfect World Foundation (TPWF) is an international non-governmental organization founded in 2010, with the aims of animal and nature preservation and conservation. The organisation was founded by Ragnhild Jacobsson and Lars Valentin Jacobsson.^[1][2][3]

The Foundation's event "Save The Rhino"^[4][5][6] in Gothenburg in 2014 was the first ever large fundraising dinner in Scandinavia in favour of animals. 500 paying guests and 100 volunteers attended, including Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden.^[7] In September 2016 the Foundation held another event, "The Elephant Ball" with 500 paying guests including Sarah, Duchess of York ^[8] and Richard Leakey, the chairman of Kenya Wildlife Service.

The Foundation yearly makes an award to "The Conservationist of the Year"; the winner receives not only money but also the prize "The Fragile Rhino". In 2014 Mr Mark Shand, the brother of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Elephant Family was awarded for their work to protect the Asian Elephant.^[9][10] In 2015 the award winner Dr. Jane Goodall was awarded for her work to protect animals, especially the Chimpanzee. In 2016, Dr Richard Leakey^[11] became the award winner, when he received the award from the organisations new Global Ambassador Sarah, Duchess of York,^[12] for his work to save the African Elephant.
