The Measure of a Man (French: La Loi du marché) is a 2015 French drama film directed by Stéphane Brizé. It was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.[2][3] At Cannes, Vincent Lindon won the award for Best Actor[4][5] and the film won a commendation awarded by the Ecumenical Jury.[6]
Plot
Thierry has been unemployed for 18 months, having lost his job as a factory worker. At the age of 51, he lands a new job as a security guard in a supermarket. He tries to make ends meet in working-class France.
