"The Bitterest Pill (I Ever Had to Swallow)" is a single that was released by The Jam in September 1982. It reached number 2 in the UK Singles Chart.[1][2]
The man on the cover of this single is the late Vaughan Toulouse, singer of Department S who used to DJ at Jam gigs. Paul Weller's love interest in this video is Lee Kavanagh who provided the vocals on the phone for Department S's biggest hit "Is Vic There?".[3]
