The Bike (Russian: Velik) was Maria Morozova's final work at the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television. The film was based on the scenario by Maria Morozova. The shooting took place in summer 2007 in St. Petersburg, the final mix of the film was completed in April, 2008. The shooting format is 35 mm. The movie has already been shown at many foreign and domestic film festivals, won the Grand Prix of Film Festival "Scissors" (2008, St. Petersburg) and other prizes.

Plot
“The Bike” is a film about growing up, the ability to give, the ability to make responsible actions, even when you are 11 years. This is a film about friendship, which is not purchased. This is a film about the ability to forgive. This is about each one of us. Everybody had or has “the bike”
Synopsis
Egor is an 11-year-old boy who lives in a small town. He helps mother working at post-office, to carry the daily correspondence. Reliable friend helps him to do his job – “The Bike”. It is old bicycle which knows Egor's small secret. The young bicyclist is fallen in love with the girl who's running every morning on his route.
Once Egor collides with Mitia, the boy from the provided family. Egor becomes involuntary witnesses of leaving Mitia’s father from family. Angered Mitia breaks the fury on Egor. He compels our hero to enter competition "who are more quickly?". The result of the race is the bicycle's destruction. The frame of Egor’ bicycle is broken.
Egor’s family haven’t money to buy a new bicycle . Egor’s mom is pregnant. And his parents earn each ruble. But work is work, and the bicycle is broken. Egor and his daddy go to the market to buy a second-hand bicycle and a carriage.
Egor finds such a bicycle that suits him in all the ways. But the price is too high. Egor's father starts bargaining. Egor takes the adult decision and refuses from desirable for the family's sake.
Old bicycle “Aist” is bought for him and his father remains money for a carriage.
When Egor returns to the courtyard, he again meets Mitia. And this time Mytia loses the race.
What about bicycle? It turns into the weathercock. Its wheel continues to spin. As all in this life goes on a circle.
