Teata Semiz

Teata Semiz (born c. 1934) is a professional bowler who was inducted into the United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame in 1991.

A resident of River Edge, New Jersey, Semiz started bowling at the age of 13 in Bergenfield, New Jersey. After turning professional in 1961, he joined the PBA Tour in 1968.[1]

Semiz won 10 events on the PBA Tour, and also won both the Classic Singles and the All-Events titles at the 1972 ABC Open Championships. Competing in the ABC Masters, Semiz finished the 1973 event in fourth place. At the 1983 Masters, Semiz had a 300 game and finished in seventh place. At the 1997 Masters, he finished the tournament in fifth place.[2] In 1997, Semiz become the oldest player to win an event on the Senior PBA Tour.[3]
