Susan C. Fargo is the Massachusetts State Senator for the 3rd Middlesex district, which includes her hometown of Lincoln and eight other towns. She is a Democrat who has served since 1997. (Before 2003 she represented the Fifth Middlesex district.) Prior to serving in the Massachusetts legislature, she was a public management professional who served on the Lincoln board of selectmen and the Middlesex executive committee.[1]
Fargo currently co-chairs the Committee on Public Health, and is known for her push to ban smoking in the workplace and enact tax credits for senior citizens.[2]
On February 10, 2012, Fargo announced that she would not seek a ninth term.[2]
