The sun lark (Galerida modesta) is a species of lark in the Alaudidae family.
It is found in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Togo, and Uganda. Its natural habitats are dry savannah and subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland.
