Sulphur Springs Museum and Heritage Center
The Sulphur Springs Museum and Heritage Center is a local history museum in Mann-Wagnon Memorial Park, located at 1101 East River Cove Street in Sulphur Springs, a neighborhood of Tampa, Florida. The museum opened in 2010.[1]
The museum's collection includes mastodon bones, stone arrowheads, and accounts of the area's mineral water site. There are also recordings from Spring Hill, an African-American town that is now part of Sulphur Springs. Jack Kerouac lived in a house on the river. There are also photographs of Nebraska Avenue in 1923, Model T's and the area's tourists.[2]
