"Sue (Or in a Season of Crime)" is a song by English rock musician David Bowie. It was released as the lead single from his compilation album Nothing Has Changed (2014). The track was premiered on 12 October 2014, by BBC Radio 6 Music presenter Guy Garvey and features the Maria Schneider Orchestra.[2] Re-recorded versions of both the song and its B-side, "'Tis a Pity She Was a Whore", appear on Bowie's twenty-fifth studio album, Blackstar.
At the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, "Sue (Or in a Season of Crime)" won the Grammy Award for Best Arrangement, Instrumental and Vocals for bandleader Maria Schneider.[3]
Release details
The single was released as a 10" single and a digital download on 17 November 2014 in the United Kingdom,[4][5] and 28 November 2014 in the United States.[6]
Music video
A music video to promote the song and compilation album was released in November 2014.[7] Directed by Tom Hingston and Jimmy King, it is a black-and-white film with shots of Bowie on the New York Subway System and song lyrics projected onto a wall.
