News bits

St. Francis students have scored at the very top of national tests. Chioma Ezeizu distinguished herself by the score she received on a college entrance test when she was just 16[4] and St. Francis students finished second and third nationally in the National Examination Council exam in 2014,[5] confirmed by other results.[6] The school also emerged winners of the schools challenge at kody and the kids, 2015.[7] Christiana Nkem Adelana (on-air personality Tana Adelana), a graduate of St. Francis, was the 2011 winner of On-Air Personality of the Year (TV, Future Awards).[8] Also, a girl at St.Francis came in second in a national essay competition.[9] St. Francis was ranked 20th among the top 100 schools in Nigeria in 2015.[10]

The school has an annual track and field competition between its various houses, at the senior, intermediate, and junior levels of boys and girls.[11]
