Songs for Peter Hughes is a 1995 EP by the Mountain Goats. It was released by Sonic Squid in a limited edition of 600 copies, the first 100 of which were pressed on red vinyl. The record features a re-recording of "No, I Can't" (originally from the cassette Transmissions to Horace) featuring bassist Rachel Ware, as well as a cover of "The Sign" by Ace of Base.

The record was named for Peter Hughes of Diskothi-Q, who is also featured on the cover. Hughes would join the Mountain Goats in 2002.
This record features a song dedicated to now-deceased former child star Dana Plato.
