"Sixteen" is the third episode of season one of the UPN Television Network television series Moesha. The episode was written by series creator Ralph Farquhar, and directed by Ted Lange. This episode is one of the few episodes in which the main character Moesha celebrates her birthday. The plot is centered on a big milestone in Moesha's life – she is now able to date.
Plot synopsis
In this episode, Moesha turns sixteen and is officially allowed to date. The only problem is nobody will ask her out. According to Hakeem she is "high maintenance" and her dad scares boys away. However, one boy does ask her out- Ohagi. After a talk with Dee about sex, Moesha reluctantly accepts Ohagi's offer. Meanwhile, Dee finds Frank snooping through Moesha's room, and encourages him to try to connect with his daughter. The episode ends with Moesha and Frank having a heart-to-heart talk.
