Shadowgun Legends is an upcoming game by Madfinger Games, the studio behind Dead Trigger series, Unkilled and original Shadowgun. Shadowgun Legends is a first persistent-world FPS for mobile devices. The player will have the opportunity to take control of an up-and-coming Shadowgun warrior. Together with his friends he will have to face the alien threat and save humanity. Shadowgun Legends is a sequel to the original Shadowgun, a multiple award winning game from 2011.[1]
Storyline
It's time to return to the embattled universe of Shadowgun!
The year is 2380. Humanity is on the brink of a grand new era. With Earth having been stripped of its natural resources, Toltech Enterprises and the other huge corporations have been funding colonization efforts across the galaxy. Many worlds have already been conquered and settled, the indigenous races subdued, and the new colonies established. Resources are now plentiful. With no rivals to threaten them, humans are free to flourish and expand.
Yet no peace lasts for long.
Gameplay
Player controls a character in a first-person-shooter style gameplay. Player gets to wield a wide arsenal of futuristic weapons and gadgets. He also has additional abilities in his arsenal like a force wave and so on. According to Marek Rabas,CEO of Madfinger Games, and Miguel Caron, MFG Studio Head, the game will also contain multiplayer.[2]
Development
Shadowgun Legends is a sequel to a critically acclaimed Shadowgun and Shadowgun: DeadZone. Both titles were developed by Madfinger Games, an award winning studio developing mobile games such as Dead Trigger (2012), Dead Trigger 2 (2013), Monzo (2014) or Unkilled (2015). Shadowgun Legends is combining Madfinger's characteristic smooth FPS control scheme with futuristic environment of previous Shadowgun games. The release date of the game is to be announced yet.[3]
Awards
Shadowgun Legends has received multiple awards from different gaming publications. Prior to its release, it has received "Best Mobile MMO or RPG" and "Best Mobile Game" awards for the Gamescom 2016 event. The game, without even being released, has made it to several lists of the most anticipated and the best mobile games.
