Sekkingstad is a village in Fjell municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. It is situated on the west side of the island of Store Sotra. Sekkingstad is the site of a fish factory, which exports fish to countries such as Russia and Japan. The 130-metre (430 ft) tall mountain Saufjellet lies just northeast of the village. The 0.43-square-kilometre (110-acre) village has a population (2013) of 388, giving the village a population density of 902 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,340/sq mi).[1]
