Sebastian Croll

Sebastian Croll (pronounced /krɔl/ in Dutch, later as "Crull"[1]) is believed to have introduced the Cruller to the New World. It was subsequently named in his honor.[2]

In 1617, he was the first commissary of Fort Orange,[3] built on the site of the present-day city of Albany, New York.

He was also an elder in the "Church in the Fort," which was founded by the Rev. Jonas Michaelius in 1628.[1]
