Sean P. Stellato (born April 12, 1977) is an NFLPA, NBPA, and CFLPA Certified Sports Agent,[1] motivational speaker,[2] and author.[3] He has negotiated contracts with the Eagles,[4] Patriots’, Jaguars, Packers and many other teams. Also done endorsement deals with: NBC Sports, Smoothie King, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Harley Davidson and many more.

Stellato is an alumnus of Marist College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, graduating cum laude, in 2001. He was named to the Communications National Honor Society in 2001 and to the MAAC All-Academic team for football and basketball for the 2000 and 2001 seasons.[5]

Athletics

Stellato attended Salem High School where he played on the football and basketball teams helping lead the football team to the conference championship and Super Bowl in 1994.[6] One memorable moment of Stellato's high school football career was his 40-yard touchdown pass with no time on the clock to beat Winthrop. That pass earned him a showing on 7 Wonders of the Week, which recognized the top 7 sports highlights throughout the country.[7]

Stellato was a team captain and Agganis All-Star in 1996. Sean was also instrumental in helping an undefeated (25-0) Salem High team win the State Basketball Championship in 1995.[8]

At The Gunnery Prep school Stellato had a successful Post-Graduate year. He was M.V.P in football and basketball as well as being named All-New England in both sports.[9]

As a Division I student-athlete at Marist College in New York, Stellato was the leading receiver during the 2000 and 2001 seasons.[10]

Football career

Stellato played two seasons in the Arena Football League (AFL), signing his first contract with the Florida Firecats in 2002. He also played with the Louisville Fire and the Memphis Xplorers. He went to Mini Camp with the New York Dragons.[11] He became a member of the St. John's Prep football coaching staff in 2006.[12]

Books

Stellato is the author of two books: 4th and Long The Odds: My Journey[13] and No Backing Down[14] which chronicle his journeys in life and sports.[15]

Philanthropy

Stellato is an active philanthropist having founded the All-American Fundamental Showcase in November 2007.[16] The All-American Fundamental Showcase is a skills tutorial for high school athletes looking to demonstrate their talent for local and national institutions. The All-American Showcase is officially sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salem (Massachusetts). Sean ran and completed the 2007 and 2008 Boston Marathons. He raised $7,000 for the Respite Center and Good Sports.[17]

Honors & Awards


In August of 2016 Sean Stellato was selected as one of the Business Journal's 40-under-40.[18]


In 2013, Stellato was inducted into the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame.[19] That same year he was inducted into the Salem High School Hall of Fame.[20] In 2014, Stellato was honored with the Moynihan Lumber Post Graduate Achievement Award.[21]
