Scioto Greenway Trail
Scioto Greenway Trail is the first greenway trail built in Columbus, Ohio.[1] The route travels along the downtown riverfront on the East and West sides of the Scioto River. From North Bank Park to Bicentennial Park, the path is the spine of the city's famous Scioto Mile, a string of prominent parks, civic landmarks, and promenades. At the south edge of downtown, the path winds through Scioto Audubon Park, including a trailhead at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center See List of nature centers in Ohio. At the northwest edge of downtown, there is a direct connection to the Northbound Olentangy Trail. In 2013 the Scioto Greenway Trail opened new segments opening access to Grandview Avenue, Fifth Ave and the Hilltop Connector Bridge to continue south west to the Camp Chase Trail.
Scioto Trail is within the Franklin County section of the Ohio to Erie Trail.
On March 8, 2014 a litter cleanup was done in a partnership between Besa and Consider Biking. The area centered on the new Grandview Ave trailhead which opened December 2013.
