Sarah Torgov

Sarah Torgov is a Canadian actress who was born in Toronto. She appeared in popular movies in the 1980s, including Meatballs, If You Could See What I Hear, American Gothic, The July Group, and Drying Up The Streets. TV appearances included Simon & Simon, The Greatest American Hero and the Canadian series Tales of the Klondike.

She stopped acting in 1988 and is now working as an artist and book illustrator in Los Angeles, California where she has lived for the past twenty-four years. Torgov illustrated Let's Read Together: A Parent's Guide to Beginning Reading, by Ellen Gordon and Eileen Zweig.

She is the daughter of noted Canadian humourist and novelist Morley Torgov and played the cello in high school. She is married to writer and television producer Douglas Steinberg.

Her face adorned the Canadian Kellogg's Corn Flakes box in the 1970s. In the poster art for Meatballs, she is standing in front of Bill Murray, facing forward and wearing a green top.
