Samad Ali Changezi was a Flight Lieutenant in Pakistan Air Force who fought in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Samad Ali belonged to the Hazara ethnic minority of Quetta, Pakistan.[1] He was also one of the members of the No. 9 Squadron (Pakistan Air Force), the Pakistan Air Force's first fighter squadron.

Honors and awards

During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, Samad was shot down in the middle of his eleventh mission for his country.[2] For his act of valour and for sacrificing his life for the cause of the country, he was awarded the Sitara-e-Jurat, the third-highest military honour of Pakistan.[3]
