Sam Galeotos is a retired travel industry executive who resides in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Education
Galeotos is a graduate of Cheyenne Central High School, University of Arizona, and The Wharton School.[1]
Career
A native of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Galeotos began his career in the travel industry when he accepted a job with Delta Air Lines. Just two years later, in 1990, he joined Worldspan, a partnership between Delta, Northwest Airlines, and TWA Airlines that delivered the Global Distribution System by the same name.[2] He left Worldspan in 1999, relocating to Honolulu to join CheapTickets. When CheapTickets was acquired by Cendant, Galeotos stayed on as CEO of strategic distribution and travel services.[3] Today, Galeotos operates Shellback Management, a real estate and hospitality organization, and sits on the board of Green House Data.[4]
Community Involvement
Galeotos is involved in local Cheyenne business issues, like downtown revitalization,[5] as well as community organizations like the Boys and Girls Club.[6]
