Saint John the New Monastery
Saint John the New Monastery (Romanian: Mănăstirea Sfântul Ioan cel Nou), dedicated to Saint John the New of Suceava, is a Romanian Orthodox monastery in Suceava, Romania. Built between 1514 and 1522, the monastery church is one of eight buildings that make up the churches of Moldavia UNESCO World Heritage Site,[1] and is also listed as a historic monument by the country's Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs.[2] The church serves as the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuți.
