Saint Andrew's Junior School

Saint Andrew's Junior School (or, more commonly known as SAJS) is a government-aided boys' primary school in Potong Pasir, Singapore. The school started as the Lower School of St Andrew's School after World War II. St Andrew’s Junior School is part of the family of Anglican schools in Singapore. After being renamed in 1956, the school was split into two schools, but were combined in 1990.

The school then relocated to a site in Potong Pasir because of noise pollution caused by the upgraded Pan-Island Expressway. The school was relocated in 1996 and the new school building was declared open by the then Minister for Education, Rear-Admiral Teo Chee Hean, in 1997.

Following plans for the St Andrew’s Village, the school was temporarily relocated to 9 Ah Hood Road. The school moved to new buildings at its original Potong Pasir site in December 2004. Mrs Wai Yin Pryke succeeded Ms Poh Chwee Sian as the Principal in January 2004 after Ms Poh retired.

In SAJS, there are houses, like any other schools, Hose, Venn, Loyfatt, Romanis and Gomes. They all have a story behind it.

On 2010, around November, Mr.Chan joined SAJS as a Vice-Principal. Mrs Pryke retired and was succeeded by Mrs Wong Bin Eng. In 2012, SAJS celebrated its 150th anniversary. In 2013, the vice principal Mr Chan left SAJS to serve in a different ministry.Mr Tham joined the school as vice-principal
