State Route 11 is a mostly unsigned southnorth highway that goes from the Alabama border in Giles County, Tennessee to the Kentucky border in Montgomery County.[1]

Route description

Heading north from the Alabama border in Giles County, State Route 11 intersects U.S. Route 64 on the outskirts of Pulaski. Once in the city, the route becomes concurrent to first U.S. Route 31 and then U.S. Route 31A. U.S. Route 31A and State Route 11 then go northeast into Marshall County, passing by the U.S. Experimental Dairy Farm there, and enter Lewisburg. The two routes cross the Duck River at Henry Horton State Resort Park and continue into first Rutherford and then Williamson County. Then the routes merge with U.S. Route 41A and U.S. Route 31A and have an interchange State Route 840, a limited-access freeway, to enter Nolensville. Soon after State Route 11 and its concurrent U.S. Routes enter Davidson County and pass the Nashville Zoo. The routes, at this point known as Nolensville Pike, pass I-440 Exit 6 and continue into downtown Nashville. There State Route 11 splits into two one-way streets, 2nd and 4th Avenues, and passes Interstate 40 Exit 210C. State Route 11 then intersects U.S. Route 41 at Lafayette Street and remains concurrent with that route until the Kentucky border. U.S. Route 41 and State Route 11 continue on Eighth Avenue, where they make a half-circle around Capitol Hill and cross the Cumberland River. After an interchange with Interstate 24 (Exit 48), the routes head north on Dickerson Pike along with U.S. Route 31W. Just north of Goodlettsville in Sumner County, U.S. Route 31W leaves the concurrency and U.S. Route 41 and State Route 11 travel northwest into Robertson County. After passing through Springfield and Adams, State Route 11 enters Montgomery County and ends where U.S. Route 41 enters Kentucky, just south of Guthrie, KY.
