Plot
George Bhayankar (Krishnam Raju) is a young graduate who always backs anyone who can't fight for themselves. The town's church priest Father James (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) has always admired Bhayankar's intentions but tries to calm his aggressive behavior. Bhayankar is fond of Lakshmi (Vijayshanti), who's a school teacher. Bhayankar's sister, Mary (Geetha), falls in love with Johnny (Suresh), the son of a multi-millionaire Parishudham (Hema Sundar). Scared of her brother, Mary used to convene with Father James for counsel. One day Mary reveals to the Father that she's pregnant and that Johnny has left town. When the James tells her that he will explain things to her parents and brother, Lakshmi overhears the conversation and misunderstands that Father and Mary were involved in a relationship. Lakshmi tells Bhayankar about this and he scolds and insults Mary. The next scene shows Mary hanging dead from a tree branch. Bhayankar blames Father for this and assaults him. Bhayankar gets arrested but he escapes. Father has a twin brother, S. P. John Yugandhar (again Akkineni Nageswara Rao) who is a powerful police officer in the town. Father requests his brother to conduct a post mortem on Mary's body as he suspects murder. The next day when S.P. exhumes Mary's coffin, they find Father James's body in it. Everyone suspects Bhayankar was the culprit, S.P. immediately begins an investigation to break out the mystery behind missing of Mary's dead body and Father's death.
