S-Line (Norfolk Southern)
The Norfolk Southern S-Line is a secondary railroad line which runs between Morristown, Tennessee and Salisbury, North Carolina.
It is operated by Norfolk Southern Railway under 2 divisions. Half of the line is within the Piedmont Division and the other half is in the Central Division.
Trains
Trains on the S-Line are mainly manifests, locals to and from Asheville and Salisbury, North Carolina and coal trains to Catawba and Belmont, North Carolina. Local trains operate at several different yards between Salisbury and Asheville, North Carolina. Intermodal trains and Amtrak passenger trains do not use this line.
All trains are required to be given track authorities from the Asheville Dispatcher.

#P-87 -- (Asheville, NC - Bridgewater, NC) Departs Asheville midmorning back in Asheville before or just after 135.
