Ross Newton (20 February, 1967), is an Australian actor and writer, born in Melbourne, Victoria, he graduated from NIDA in 1989, and is best known for playing Greg Marshall in the television soap opera Home and Away.[1]
Career
He began his acting career at The Oxford Children's Theatre in Melbourne in 1985 before scoring notable guest roles in numerous Television shows and Theatre productions during the later part of the 1980s and 90's. His first big television break came as Bartholomew Thomas Purvis (Thommo) in the short lived Channel 9 series Family and Friends. He achieved notice playing a wayward street kid turned Christian social worker in the ABC series GP only to move on to his most well known television role as Bobby Simpson's (Nicolle Dickson) second husband in Home and Away.
Newton's television and film credits include: The Flying Doctors', The Fast Lane, Fatal Bond, Pacific Drive, All Saints, Farscape, Cops LAC and My Brother Tom".
Personal life
He currently lives on his rural property in New South Wales, Australia, with his partner of 20 years. He is still active in the industry, as of 2014, appearing in commercials and television series such as Bondi Rescue.
