Rich Skelton

Rich Skelton (born June 18, 1966) is a National Finals Rodeo Team Roping Champion. He is an eight-time World Champion, and is regarded as one of the most consistent team ropers of all time.

Skelton was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He currently resides in Llano, Texas. Skelton has been a PRCA member since 1986, and has qualified for Nationals 22 times. In that time, he has ridden some of the best horses in the rodeo world, including two favorites - Chili Dog was PRCA/AQHA Horse of the Year in 2004, and Roaney hold 4 Horse of the Year Titles. Skelton's total lifetime winnings are over $2.5million, including his 8 NFR World Titles. His career has been sponsored by Frye Electronics, Titan Oil Field, Tapatio Springs, Industrial Site Services, Lazy E Arena, S Bar Quarter Horses, Hoffpaur Chevrolet, Bloomers Trailers, T & S Electric, Martindale Feed Mill, Cinch, Classic Ropes, Heel-o-Matic, and Resistol.

Skelton has retired and lives with his wife, Rhonda Smothers-Skelton, and daughter Rainey.[1]
