Rhodomicrobium vannielii is a non-sulphur, photoheterotroph bacterium.[1][3][4][5] Rhodomicrobium vannielii produces acyclic and atiphatic cyclic carotenoids like anhydrorhodovibrin, rhodovibrin, spirilloxanthin and rhodopin.[6]
